My dad has recently been suffering from dementia due to a brain tumour.
A salesman from SAFESTYLE UK WINDOWS, knocked on the door. My dad in his usual condition would have told them to go away without fail. Instead he invited the salesman (I use the term lightly) was allowed entry.
This piece of scum has filled in the form for my dad and got him to sign for THREE new windows at a cost of £2,625!!!! Bearing in mind the windows in question that the scum company wants to replace have nothing wrong with them as they were only replaced 3 years ago.
As soon as I found out about this, I telephoned SAFESTYLE UK and was told that the contract was signed. I explained the dementia and the manager (again a very loose term) said that that didn´t matter. I pointed out it did. He then asked why my dad had signed, DOH! A BLOODY BRAIN TUMOUR!
Feeling rather angry at this ridiculous arse I was talking too, I mentioned watchdog, the Mirror and the Star (?) and put the phone down.
Unsuprisingly I get a phone call straight back. The contract has now been cancelled.

As people can see my website has been closed down by Orange. They claim I did not migrate in time. This is a joke as I even have an e-mail thanking me.
I have to rebuild my site from scratch so I´m afraid it will be a while until I get up and running again. |

I can´t understand the mentallity of these people. YES, fuel prices are high but to travel such lasrge distances to drive slowly into London then return to their home area costs a large amount of money. Yet, they claim they can´t afford to run on money making services?
Lorry drivers gathered at Medway Services in Kent on Wednesday morning before setting off along the M2 towards the capital at about 0800 BST. The convoy included vehicles from as far away as Cornwall and North Yorkshire.
Come on, surely there are other ways to protest without getting in the way and disrupting ordinary peoples lives. |

I recently made the mistake of using my Credit card to withdraw £10 from a machine. It was my mistake, so I knew I´d be hit with a £2.50 charge. What I didn´t realise was that HSBC have now started to charge interest on a daily basis from the date of withdrawal. I was hit with an extra charge of 10p. Not alot, but definately not fair.
I e-mailed them and they sent the 10p back as a goodwill gesture, thank you..............................BUT (!), with a FULL monthly payment set up, always FULL, I find that I have been charged interest again!!! My card, on a direct debit for FULL payment, and I still owe 7p!
At this rate I´ll never pay off the debt.
Strange that this same bank has annouced a profit increase of 5% to £11.5 BILLION! |

Here we go again! Will this woman ever get her just desserts and actually be punished? I doubt it with her history.
Go on BA sue this woman.

Amazingly, Naomi ordered the captain to go and find the suitcase himself. She barked at him: "I can't believe you have lost my f****** bag. Bring me my f****** bags now.
"We are not leaving until you find my f****** bag. F*** you, f*** you, captain. You are a racist. You wouldn't be doing this if I was white."
Naomi then began hurling her belongings at cabin crew. Staff frantically tried to isolate her from other passengers on the flight to Los Angeles, which was delayed by 90 minutes because of her hour-long mega strop.
She raged: "You can't f****** touch me. F*** off, I have paid £5,000 for this. I have a right to be on this plane."
And she howled into her mobile "They have lost my f****** bags, get me another flight, get the press, get me my lawyer."
He said Naomi refused to budge when officers tried to get her to leave the aircraft. And when PCs John Eastwick and Charles Campling tried to forcibly remove her she flew off the handle again. The Streatham-born model kicked out at the pair with her stiletto-heeled boots, whacked them and spat at PC Eastwick.
Jabbing her fingers at the officers, she yelled: "It is because I am a black woman, you are all racists. I am going to sue you. I am going to f*** you up. I'm going to sue your f****** a**e"
When a woman officer tried to do a cursory search, Naomi screamed: "You blonde bitch." The court heard she called at PC Eastwick a "c***".
In a further torrent of abuse at the officers she warned them: "I'm going to screw you like a motherf*****."
Naomi's luggage was lost in April during the opening days of mayhem at Terminal Five. But Mr Bowden said that was no defence for her vicious attack and vile abuse of cabin staff.
He added: "Around 20,000 people were affected by the chaos yet she is the only one who got out of control and was arrested for violence."

I have just been offered a job as a restaurant manager. This should be fun and a decent challenge. I always like to stretch myself.
Looks like I won´t have time to return to the UK until at least september or October. |

I have now got full Spanish Residencia, that makes me Spanish!
Life is very different here. It´s not easy but it is better.
My British (Socialist Republic of South Yorkshire) have now gone. I still love the UK but, sorry, I´m SPANISH! |

Due to the prevailing problems from the Spanish point of view from tomorrow I officially become a Spanish Resident.
I can then run my Tour consultancy openly and without worries.
I am also calling into the UK this thursday but returning home to Spain the following day. I get 3 flights, I´m happy!
On my recent return for a week I managed to meet up with alot of friends, some unfortunately I missed but had a good time catching up. Cheers for everyone who managed to meet up with me at such short notice. |

Well, the plan for business has gone awry. It seems that the local council has decided that to run TimanfayAir as legal entity I have to get a full transport operators license. This means bank backing of €600,000 and at least 6 vehicles owned by the company, unless I was born in Spain!!!
Ok, thinking laterally, I am now going to be a self employed Local knowledge expert. My service will include hire of a car, fuel, entrances and information about the Island + history of Lanzarote. No need for a Transport license. The same as I offer now!
I can´t call myself a tour guide as the Lanzaroteño authorities have decreed that non Spanish Nationals have to go on a Tour Guide course in Spanish! People who´s company is based in the UK, also don´t need this course, so First Choice, TUI , Thomson reps are exempt. Hmmmmmmm. |

TimanfayAir Car Tours will shortly be fully part of the Spanish Business system.
I am hoping to shortly obtain a CIF Number (Official Company reference), then everything else slips into place. I will need to get an accountant to sort out the books on a more formal basis and the tax perks will hopefully be better. I also get myself and Julie accepted onto the full social security system of Spain without the need for insurance and contracts etc.
Things are settling and I´m hopeful of securing advertising on a website with 1.6 million hits per year. This should greatly increase the business and ensure a more full on approach.
I will at last have my own business! |

Ok, please, let´s all start buying free range or organic meats and vegetables.
Yes, I know, they are a little more expensive but they are so superior in taste.
Over here in Lanzarote most food is free range/organic, fantastic flavours, cooking in Olive oil, healthy and fresh!
It´s the way forward.

We recently had Maxjet file for Bankruptcy, now it looks like AlpiEagles will go the same way.
Watch this space monday, see if i´m correct. Probably not, but you never know. I could be a financial advisor soon!!!!!

One of the UK's biggest transport companies, FirstGroup, has announced that none of its employees will be allowed to use hands-free mobiles.
FirstGroup operates more than one in five local bus services across the UK, and trains including First Great Western.
The firm's bus and train drivers are already banned from using them and that will be extended to any staff on company business.
I wonder if any of the top bosses will be disciplined if they contravene the new rules. I can always remember one of my favourite (NOT!) managers blatently walking in Bay B of the Bus Garage without any High Viz jacket. NO DISCIPLINE, yet I walked on a public crossing in front of the garage without my High Viz and suprisingly WAS disciplined.
One rule for one, change them when they suit! |

I love Xmas, yesterday it was 30C again, better than in the UK (I believe) where I used to reside.
Today we are going to put up our xmas decorations, lots of ¡Feliz Navidad! signs, tinsel and a decent tree with lots of baubles.
Later on we are hoping to go to Deiland (a localish Shopping centre) to pick up our Mountain bikes. Nice 21 speed models at €160.90 each. Excellent value.
Julie has also treated herself to a Nintendo DS lite, 3 games and a hard case for €235. Glad she had her own cash, too much for me!
There is none of the madcap rushing around here in Lanzarote, everyone just chills and no mad rush to the shops. Excellent. |
